It's snowing hard at Forest Ridge, and it doesn't show signs of stopping! Stay warm this weekend with some hot coffee in the office. For those of you needing to get out and about, here's some winter weather tips: Be prepared by stocknig up on blankets, jackets, and some food and water if driving long distances. Make sure to set out with a full tank to ensure the fuel lines don't freeze and that you'll be prepared to take another route if you face road closures or heavy traffic.

Spices such as rosemary, basil, oregano, and thyme are easy to grow in small spaces and add a touch of greenery to your apartment space. Try out small containers like glazed pots and decorative cans that can fit on your windowsil to soak up the sun!

For those of us lacking the green thumb, Tillsandia "Air Plants" are great alternatives for a green retreat, and can be hung or set inside so you can let your garden grow during those cold winter months! These stringy greens gather nutrients from the air and need no soil, but we like to add a little sand and river rocks to create a beachy scene. Use a light bulb or clear Christmas ornament for your own desktop terrarium!
